2013 Gendler Grapevine Project Initiatives
In its first year (2013), in honor of Rabbi Everett Gendler’s 85th birthday, the Gendler Grapevine Project recommended grants to ten Jewish summer camps to support sustainable, replicable “graperoots” initiatives that will inspire the next generation of Jewish community members. We looked for projects that would motivate and empower campers to become effective and enduring environmental stewards, and to promote these values within their larger communities at home.
